Roar Gill

PLANET

Roar Gill’s capsule production and coffee roasting processes are certified carbon neutral. They also offset their transport emissions through their partnership with the charity One Tree Planted, with every order supporting reforestation efforts. In the future, we would like to see Roar Gill report their scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions alongside their plans for Net Zero.

PEOPLE

Roar Gill is a UK-based company, and therefore we assume they adhere to UK employment regulations. Roar Gill claims to pay their suppliers above Fairtrade prices, and as a next step we would like to hear more about who their suppliers are and how they ensure worker welfare.

BUSINESS

Roar Gill’s coffee pods are made from 100% biobased cellulose and vegetable oils and are compostable. Their packaging is plastic-free and recyclable. As a next step, we would like to see an annual impact report from Roar Gill outlining their sustainability policies and practices, such as the measures that they have in place to protect the environment during production.
