PLANET
Toast Brewing fully track, measure and offset their carbon emissions from grain to glass. They’ve been certified Carbon Neutral by Climate Partner as they offset all their emissions by funding forestry projects. They’ve signed up to B-Corp’s Net Zero by 2030 for their Scope 1 and 2 emissions and have pledged to be Net Zero by 2040 for Scope 3. By using surplus bread to replace barley, Toast Brewing uses less land, water and energy. So far they have saved 49 tonnes of CO2 equivalents since 2016.

Toast Brewing are UK-based, and therefore we assume that they adhere to UK employment regulations.
BUSINESS
Toast Brewing have set themselves the goal of saving 1 billion slices of bread from ending up in landfill. So far they’ve saved over 3 million which placed on top of each other is nearly 4.5 times the height of Mount Everest. They were the first brewery to be certified B Corp and are the highest scoring. Their annual impact report, which is readily available on their website, fully details all aspects of their sustainability - and is a great model for other sustainable brands.
