PLANET
Neal’s Yard are reducing their emissions across their business but we’d like to see more ambition than they are showing in getting to Net Zero before 2050. They have installed solar panels at their eco factory in Dorset and they use 100% renewable energy across their business. They also currently double offset their scope 1 and 2 emissions with Ecologi and have been offsetting them since 2008. We’d like to see more information on their supply chain emissions.
PEOPLE
Neal’s Yard is a UK-based business, so we can assume that they provide fair working conditions for their workers.
ANIMALS
Neal’s Yard is Leaping Bunny certified and have never tested on animals. They have also supported over 50 million bees through Bees for Development in Ghana.
BUSINESS
Neal’s Yard is working towards a circular economy. They’ve switched most of their plastic bottles to 100% post-consumer recycled plastic. As a next step, we would like to see an annual impact report so that we can see more detail on their sustainability policies and practices.
