Thought do not score well on this metric. They do not currently track, measure or account for their scope 1, 2 or 3 emissions. We would also like to know how they plan to reduce their carbon emissions in order to reach Net Zero. Currently, they do avoid transportation by air in order to reduce their emissions.
PEOPLE
Thought has a Code of Conduct, this includes that all contractors and sub-contractors must pay their workers a living wage.
ANIMALS
Thought sources natural and sustainable yarns that use less water, fewer pesticides, and create less CO2, protecting biodiversity and animal ecosystems. They do not test on animals, ever, and their collections are 96% vegan.
BUSINESS
Thought makes every effort to reduce, reuse and recycle all waste wherever possible. They use organic cotton as one of their main materials and all their nylon and polyester is recycled. Thought has also partnered with Traid, to encourage consumers to donate their clothes. They have information regarding their sustainability policies and practices available on their website. However, in order to further increase their transparency, we would like to see an annual impact report from Thought in the future.
