PLANET
Tata Harper has not released any data surrounding Net Zero goal setting, but avoids outsourcing and unnecessary shipping wherever possible. They use sustainably sourced Vermont electricity to power their production facilities, recyclable glass bottled, recycled shipping and packing material, and treeless labels. They are ECOCERT certified, meaning that the raw materials used in their formulas are derived from renewable resources, manufactured by environmentally friendly processes, and are free from GMO and synthetics.
PEOPLE
Tata Harper is based in the US and so we assume is compliant with employee protection laws there. Their lab is full of female scientists, and they are proactive about diversity in the workplace. We would like to see more information about their suppliers’ working regulations.
ANIMALS
Tata Harper is PETA certified. Their vegan formulas are Vegan Certified and their vegetarian formulas are Vegetarian Certified too.
BUSINESS
Tata Harper say they are aiming for transparency, and are proud that their products are non-toxic and contain nothing artificial. We’d like to see more from them on their carbon emissions and how they are tackling reducing them, but in terms of packaging and ingredients we like what we see.
