Rubies in the Rubble
We just love the name Rubies in the Rubble. Taking wonky fruit and veg destined for the scrap heap just for being the wrong shape and size, this brand turns them into some of the most delicious chutneys we’ve ever tasted.

PLANET
Rubies in the Rubble score well on this metric. In 2022, Rubies in the Rubble became carbon neutral, and are now working on a plan to become Net Zero. They trace and track emissions across their entire supply chain, as well as offsetting the residual footprint using a soil-focused scheme, and are offsetting past emissions too. They’re also reducing carbon emissions by using surplus fruit.
PEOPLE
Rubies in the Rubble is B-Corp certified and work with farms to save their surplus fruit and vegetables from going to waste.
ANIMALS
Rubies in the Rubble products are vegan, and the brand supports farms’ companion planting, which boosts biodiversity.
BUSINESS
Sustainability and reducing waste is at the heart of everything Rubies in the Rubble does and sells – we are really impressed by the brand’s commitment to, as they say “do gooder”, as well as its transparency. Their delicious condiments are already becoming very popular across the UK, and we really hope that this brand continues to grow and develop.
