PLANET
Piglet in Bed currently do not track their scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, and we would like to see this alongside their plans for Net Zero.
PEOPLE
Piglet in Bed is a UK-based company, and therefore we assume they adhere to UK employment regulations. Their materials are sourced from throughout Western Europe with the exception of some of their linen, which is woven and sewn in China in partnership with the Better Cotton Initiative, suggesting that their suppliers have adequate worker welfare.
ANIMALS
Piglet in Bed use merino wool in some of their products, which is sourced from free-range, non-farmed sheep in Italy. Piglet in Bed claims that this wool is certified to be humanely sourced, and as a next step we would like to see evidence of this certification.
BUSINESS
Piglet in Bed uses cotton, merino wool, and linen that is OEKO-Tex Standard 100 certified in their products. They design their products with longevity in mind, and use recycled materials across all of their packaging where possible. As a next step, we would like to see an annual impact report from Piglet in Bed outlining their sustainability policies and practices such as the measures that they have in place to protect the environment during production.
