PLANET
Petit Pli uses recycled fibres for its core collection, produced ethically in Portugal using renewable energy. Their growing designs reduce waste and CO2 emissions from production. However, we would like to see Petit Pli measuring and tracking their scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions by an independently verified third party, as well as plans to reduce these and reach Net Zero.
PEOPLE
Petit Pli’s final stage of production takes place in Portugal, and therefore we assume they adhere to EU labour laws here. However, we would like to see more information about their complete supply chain and the workers involved.
ANIMALS
Petit Pli doesn’t use any animal products in their clothing.
BUSINESS
Their growth technology means that purchasing clothing from Petit Pli is a long-term investment into a quality product built to last, which reduces waste. As part of their commitment to encouraging responsible consumption, the brand also offers Free Repairs, and their guaranteed fit means that items are less likely to be returned, reducing CO2 emissions. We are always impressed by new technologies which use science to help us reduce waste and overconsumption. As a next step, we’d love to see an annual impact report from Petit Pli to increase transparency surrounding their sustainability policies and practices.
