PLANET

Nearly New Cashmere Co. do not currently report their emissions on their website. However, the environmental impact of the company is relatively small. They do not create any new products, instead selling reconditioned cashmere pieces and thus increasing the circularity of their clothing. Nearly New Cashmere Co. also ship their orders with Royal Mail, one of the lowest impact delivery options. As they expand as a business, we would like to see them begin to track, measure, and account for their carbon emissions, as well as see their plans to reduce these and reach Net Zero.

PEOPLE

Nearly New Cashmere Co. is a family-run UK-based business, and therefore we assume they adhere to all UK employment regulations.

ANIMALS

Nearly New Cashmere do not create any new animal products, instead extending the life of post-consumer waste.

BUSINESS

By 2022, Nearly New Cashmere Co. had saved a total of 16,000 cashmere pieces. This business model champions circularity and helps to reuse post-consumer waste. They also offer a cashmere repair service. Nearly New Cashmere Co. provide some information regarding their sustainability policies and practices on their website, but as they expand we would like to see an annual impact report to increase their transparency.
