PLANET
We are pleased to see that Mini Rodini currently tracks, measures, and accounts their scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, althought it is unclear to us if their measurements are verified by a third party. They give no information on offsetting. We’d also like to see some information on how they plan to reduce their emissions further and over what time period.
PEOPLE
Mini Rodini established a Code of Conduct with suppliers and share a mutual responsibility for safe and fair working conditions. Living wages has been an ongoing project for the brand, who pay additional wages to their factory workers in all regions. Mini Rodini also arranges third-party audits, and has been a member of the Fair Wear Foundation since 2016.
ANIMALS
Mini Rodini uses wool in some of their products. All their wool is organic and GOTS certified since 2019.
BUSINESS
Mini Rodini champion circularity by reusing leftover fabric from earlier collections. Their products are only called sustainable when at least 78% of the composition includes sustainable materials, as opposed to the usual standard of 50%. Mini Rodini also sells repair patches and offers trimmings or buttons, in order to extend the life of their clothes. They also release an annual impact report, which helps to increase transparency surrounding their sustainability policies and practices.
