PLANET
Glow Organic have partnered with a sustainable, certified organic fulfilment centre who measure their emissions to calculate and verify the impact their work has on the environment. This calculation is then put towards supporting projects such as planting trees, reducing Amazon deforestation and supporting solar farms in developing countries. They do not currently report their scope 1, 2 or 3 emissions, and we would like to see this from them in the future.
PEOPLE
Glow Organic is a female-founded business, and is UK-based — we therefore assume they adhere to UK employment requirements.
ANIMALS
Glow Organic do not stock products from brands who knowingly cause harm to animals, the planet, people, or our skin. Glow Organic is an online retail platform so does not have certification, but it only stocks products that are cruelty-free to animals.
BUSINESS
Glow Organic ensures that the brands that they source from use sustainable ingredients, are cruelty-free, and use recycled and recyclable packaging where possible. All of the products on their website are organic. As a next step, we would like to see an annual impact report from Glow Organic outlining their sustainability policies and practices, such as more extensive detail on who they source from and how they have vetted them to ensure that their process is environmentally friendly.
