BAM (Bamboo Clothing)

If you’re after super soft lounge-wear, yoga gear and socks, you’ve come to the right place. We love Bamboo Clothing because of the softness of its fabrics but also because bamboo absorbs 5 times as much carbon as trees.

PLANET

From 2019 to 2022, BAM says they measured their emissions from the bamboo forest through to the first fifty washes and offset those emissions, which we assume means their Scopes 1, 2 and 3 emissions. They have recently made the decision to stop offsetting and invest in emissions reductions as quickly as possible with a goal of reaching Net Zero by 2030. This is a credible decision as the date is only a few years away and we look forward to tracking their progress.

PEOPLE

BAM is a UK-based business, and we therefore assume that they adhere to UK employment regulations.

ANIMALS

BAM use no animal derived products.

BUSINESS

89% of the fibres BAM use are biodegradable and made from natural, renewable raw materials - 64% of those raw materials are bamboo. This helps reduce BAM’s impact on the environment. Bam also has a fully circular range, 73 Zero, they use 100% recycled materials which can then be 100% recycled. BAM provides a wealth of information on their sustainability practices and policies on their website, and also release an annual impact report.
