A.BCH

A.BCH offer a broad range of clothing pieces designed to last, offering free repairs, care support, and a way to recycle or compost each piece at the end of its life. They aim for the fair treatment of workers throughout the production process, and are accredited by Ethical Clothing Australia.

PLANET

A.BCH use 100% wind-power energy for their studio and in-house factory operations and offset any carbon emissions generated. They use carbon neutral delivery partners Australia Post and Shippit, and offset international orders sent by DHL Express. A.BCH has also designed their garments to be able to biodegrade safely. As a next step, we would like to see them report their scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions on their website and to share their plans for Net Zero.

PEOPLE

A.BCH are based in Australia and are accredited by Ethical Clothing Australia. They seek out suppliers that are either based in Australia or Europe or are certified by GOTS, Fair Trade, or Fair Wear Foundation to ensure that workers have been treated fairly.

ANIMALS

A.BCH use only recycled or deadstock wool in their products. Any surplus wool that they use is traceable and RWS-certified to ensure that it is mulesing-free.

BUSINESS

A.BCH use Lenzing Tencel and GOTS-certified organic linen and cotton. Some of their cotton is instead Australia Super Cotton certified. They also use recycled materials alongside virgin for some of their products. A.BCH avoid over-producing their clothes and offer a Perfectly Imperfect range where mildly blemished pieces are sold at reduced prices. As a next step, we would like to see an annual impact report from A.BCH outlining their sustainability policies and practices to make them more transparent.
