PLANET
KinKind sells solid shampoo bars, resulting in less carbon emissions from transport than high-water content shampoos. KinKind currently do not track their scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, and we would like to see this alongside their plans for Net Zero.
PEOPLE
KinKind are a UK-based business, and therefore we assume they adhere to UK employment regulations. They donate 5% of profits to projects or groups that make a difference to UK families, and allow their community to nominate and vote for which charities should be shortlisted. KinKind offers a 10% cashback for projects and groups through referred sales. As a next step, we would like to see more information on who their suppliers are.
ANIMALS
KinKind products are vegan and cruelty-free. As a next step, we would like to see certification of their cruelty-free status, such as Leaping Bunny.
BUSINESS
KinKind products are plastic-free. They are made of 66% organic materials which are certified by COSMOS Organic, and they use RSPO certified palm oil. As a next step, we would like to see an annual impact report from KinKind outlining their sustainability policies and practices, such as how they vet their suppliers and the measures that they have in place to protect the environment during production.
