PLANET
Veja release annual reports that measure their scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions. They also measure the carbon footprint of individual styles in order to compare them. Veja are working hard to reduce their carbon emissions and have done this by increasing the proportion of more ecological leather, using recycled materials, and switching to clean energy suppliers. In the future, we would like to see Veja share their plans for reaching Net Zero and offset their remaining emissions.
PEOPLE
Veja have a Code of Conduct, which ensures the payment of a living wage throughout its supply chain.
ANIMALS
Veja use leather in some of their trainers that are sourced from Leather Working Group Gold certified tanneries.
BUSINESS
Veja are a certified B Corp, and their use of eco-friendly materials reduce their climate impact and limits the amount of chemicals, water and wastewater used in production. Their website gives clear information on their sustainability policies and practices.
