PLANET

Lucy & Yak track, measure and account for their scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, and offset these with Ecologi. So far, Lucy and Yak has supported the prevention of 1,822.14 tonnes of CO2e from being emitted through 62 verified carbon avoidance projects. They have also planted 29,666 trees in their forest.

PEOPLE

The founders of Lucy & Yak first began by working with an Indian tailor named Ismail, and have since partnered with other workers in India. They know the factory owners, have personally inspected the factories, and have met the workers, ensuring that their working conditions and pay are fair as per the Global Living Wage Coalition.

ANIMALS

Lucy & Yak do not use any animal products.

BUSINESS

Lucy & Yak are championing circularity via their Re:Yak Buyback programme, which encourages customers to bring back worn items for a voucher in order to keep them  in circulation for even longer. Lucy & Yak publish an annual impact report, and have their sustainability policies and practices clearly available on their website. We’d love to know when they are planning to become Net Zero.
