PLANET
Lomi measures all 3 scopes and is Climate Neutral Certified, offsetting their emissions through investing in projects that prevent cookstove and landfill emissions. Their home composters help their customers to reduce their CO2e emissions by 67% to 127% through returning carbon to the soil.
PEOPLE
Lomi is based in Canada, and therefore we assume they adhere to Canadian employment regulations. However, as their products are manufactured in China, we would like to see more information on how they ensure the rights of their factory workers.
BUSINESS
Lomi produces an annual impact report and is B-Corp certified. They are part of a program to donate refurbished Lomi’s to schools to help teach students about reusing food waste. It would be great to see Lomi publicly share their information the same way as their creators Pela, who scored On Their Way.
