Graphenstone Paint

Graphenstone are changing the natural paint game - the organic lime in their formula actually absorbs CO2 from the air. Their paint range has over 1000 shades so there’s a colour for every mood.

PLANET

Graphenstone has a positive carbon footprint due to their emissions being offset by their paint — they report that three 15L buckets of their paint absorb the same amount of CO2 as an adult tree in a year. As a next step, we would love to see Graphenstone report their scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, as well as share their plans for reaching Net Zero.

PEOPLE

Graphenstone is based in Spain, and therefore we assume they adhere to Spanish employment regulations. They provide assistance to economically developing nations through the shipment of essential products such as food, electrical appliances, clothing, and school supplies. As a next step, we would like to see Graphenstone provide further information on who their suppliers are and where they are located.

BUSINESS

Graphenstone has an impressive list of certifications proving their commitment to sustainability, such as the Cradle to Cradle certification (showing that a product is safe for human health and the environment, and that it can be reused or recycled at the end of its life) and the Global GreenTag (an eco-label that evaluates a product’s environmental impact across its lifecycle). However, they are currently lacking in information about their suppliers’ policies and where they source their materials from. As a next step, we would like to see an annual impact report from Graphenstone outlining this in the interest of full transparency.

Assessed: November 2023
