Georganics

Did you know that every year in the UK over 300 million toothpaste tubes end up in the bin? Thanks to Georganics, it doesn’t have to be that way. They’ve created zero-waste, organic toothpaste alternatives. It may take a bit of getting used to, but once you’ve popped a toothpaste tablet into your mouth, and mistaken it for a mint, you’ll wonder why you ever did it any other way.

PLANET

Currently, there is no information available about Georganics’ carbon emissions. We would like to see Georganics outline their scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions as well as their plans to eliminate these and reach Net Zero.

PEOPLE

Georganics are a Living Wage Employer, showing that they ensure their employees are paid fairly. As a next step, we would like to see Georganics provide further information on who their suppliers are and where they are located.

ANIMALS

Georganics products are certified vegan and cruelty-free by the Vegan Society and the Leaping Bunny.

BUSINESS

Georganics’ glass and aluminium jars can be refilled with their refill packs which help to make them a circular business — in 2022 this saved over 170,000 plastic items from ending up in landfill or our oceans. Almost all of the ingredients in their toothpaste are certified either COSMOS Natural or COSMOS Organic. As a next step, we would like to see an annual impact report from Georganics outlining their sustainability policies and practices such as how they vet their suppliers and the measures that they have in place to protect the environment during production.
