Delphis Eco

Delphis Eco cleaning products are biodegradable and free from synthetic chemicals, no mean feat when it comes to cleaning products. They’ve also pioneered the first 100% recycled plastic bottle in the UK. What’s more, they’re the professionals’ green cleaning choice.

PLANET

Having pioneered the UK’s first 100% fully recycled bottles, Delphis are committed to being Net Zero by at least 2040. They are working towards their goal by cutting down on emissions through measuring their scope 1 and 2, whilst working with suppliers to reduce their scope 3 emissions. Delphis have the highest EU EcoLabel accredited range and all their products are packed in the UK.  All of their products are plant-based, meaning they are both non-toxic and biodegradable.

PEOPLE

Delphis have not made clear any policies they have regarding employment and the treatment of their workforce, but they have led multiple projects to help communities and the environment such as their ‘Tops Off Campaign’ which helped combat the pumps, caps and trigger shortages during the COVID crisis. They strongly believe in ‘A trigger for Life’ principle which seeks to increase the cycle of  triggers, lotion pumps and caps. As well as this, Delphis have also set up the first scholarship program with the CISL, (Cambridge Institute for Sustainable Leadership) in order to help business leaders change corporate behaviour in a more sustainable direction.

ANIMALS

They claim that all of their products are never tested on animals. Some products from Delphis have a cruelty free EU Eco label.

BUSINESS

Delphis try to reduce single use plastic waste through providing larger containers of concentrate to encourage people to refill, which reduces the carbon impact of transportation, as fewer bottles need to be delivered. Whilst Delphis work alongside Eco Turtle CIC, it would be great to see them move towards a more circular business model with greater use of refillables. Delphis is a B Corp certified company and was certified by Planet Mark in 2022. As a next step, we would like to see an annual impact report from Delphis in order to increase their transparency.
