PLANET
Aimée Ann Lou source from suppliers who are focused on reducing their CO2 emissions. They use satin produced from Lenzing Ecovero fibres which emit up to 50% less CO2 than classic viscose. Aimée Ann Lou currently do not track their scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, and we hope to see this in the future alongside their plans for net zero.
PEOPLE
Aimée Ann Lou shoes are produced in Italy, and therefore we assume that they adhere to EU employment regulations. They source from suppliers with certifications such as Leather Working Group or Global Organic Textile Standard which require them to have ethical working practices in place.
ANIMALS
Aimée Ann Lou use silk and leather in their products.
BUSINESS
Aimée Ann Lou use materials with strong environmental certifications for their shoes. They use 100% recycled tissue paper wrapping, recycled cotton dust-bags, and recycled cardboard boxes for their packaging. Aimée Ann Lou avoid the use of plastic in their shoes, and have developed an innovative bezel design to secure the crystals on their shoes without the use of adhesives or glues. They have also been awarded Positive Luxury’s Butterfly Mark. As a next step, we would like to see Aimée Ann Lou produce an annual impact report to increase the transparency of their sustainability policies and practices, such as the measures that they have in place to reduce their waste output during production.
