PLANET

Vestiaire Collective track and report their scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, and aim to become carbon neutral by 2026. They help their customers to reduce their emissions, with approximately 17kg of CO2 saved when buying a second-hand item from Vestiaire Collective versus buying new. As a next step, we would like to see Vestiaire Collective share their plans for reaching net zero.

PEOPLE

Vestiaire Collective have created an internal taskforce with 5 teams to promote and support Equal Opportunity, Women’s Empowerment, Ethnic Diversity, Disability, and LGBTQIA+. Vestiaire Collective also support charities such as Lombardia Region Fundraising, the WHO, and Oxfam, which they support by selling celebrity clothing and hosting charity auctions. Employees are also given 2 days a year to help an organisation of their choice.

BUSINESS

Vestiaire Collective are the first ever B Corp certified fashion resale platform. They help fight fashion waste by changing the way people buy. Resale reduces fashion’s impact by avoiding the environmental damage from production, as well as shifting consumers’ desires away from buying new. We love their transparency and the fact that they release an annual impact report.
