PLANET
NEOM search out certified or upcycled materials, and at least 70% of the content of their products is organic. They measures all 3 scopes of their emissions and has their data verified by Carbon Responsible. They are carbon neutral for their Scope 1 and 2 through the use of 100% renewable electricity in their stores, and offset the remainder through purchasing carbon credits for projects verified by Gold Standard. They are currently aiming to develop a strategy to reduce their supply chain emissions, and we look forward to seeing this in the future.
PEOPLE
NEOM is a UK based business. They are a Living Wage Employer and are engaged with their employees; they provide training courses to mitigate bias to create an inclusive culture, regularly measure employee satisfaction, wellbeing, and engagement, and offer their teams four Wellbeing days a year with Mental Health Support. Their Code of Conduct also ensures that their suppliers care for their employees’ wellbeing.
ANIMALS
NEOM claims that they and their suppliers are cruelty-free, and we would love to see their certification for this.
BUSINESS
NEOM is B-Corp certified. They work with a charity partner, the Mental Health Foundation, and also match the donations raised by employee fundraisers for various causes. Their ‘Do Good, Feel Good’ program gives their team 4 days a year to volunteer for charities and causes in the local community. Furthermore, 67% of their products are fully Recyclable, Refillable, Reusable, or Compostable, and they aim to increase this to 72% this year.
