PLANET

A Good Company are working hard to minimise their emissions across their supply chain. They measure their scope 1, 2 and 3 and plant trees in Zambia through WeForest to draw down the 100.7 tonnes they do emit. They claim to be off-setting 640 tonnes of CO2 this way, making them effectively carbon negative. We would prefer to see some Direct Air Capture in the mix here but the extent of the tree planting is impressive.

PEOPLE

All suppliers and manufacturers must sign a Code of Conduct, which includes zero tolerance of child or forced labour. The code also explicitly states that harmful chemicals can not be used in the manufacture of products.

A Good Company allows for completely remote flexible working and they donate to the Malala Fund, through phone case sales funding education for girls. Their goal is to fund 3 years of education for 10,000 girls.

ANIMALS

A Good Company is certified by the Vegan Society.

BUSINESS

A Good Company works to create completely circular products, such as its biodegradable phone cases that you can just bury in the garden to decompose at the end of their lives. They are certified Cradle to Cradle as well as B Corp.

We love that they have an annual impact report which measures their impact and are working hard to be completely transparent and to carry on improving their sustainability policies and practices.
